Asana specialises in paleo-inspired dishes which feature fresh, healthy and delicious meals made using locally sourced ingredients.
Pete Evans is a consultant chef for Asana in Brisbane’s C.B.D. This modern restaurant is located on the bottom floor of the Capri by Fraser Hotel.
My dining partner and I ate our way through beef carpaccio, lamb ribs, barramundi and sweet potato fries. Manu Feildel would be impressed as there was a sauce with everything.
The pizza and burgers looked tempting.
It’s the ideal place to eat if you are following a paleo diet or avoiding gluten and dairy.
I finished my meal off with a delicious chocolate rocky road inspired ice block.
There is an extensive wine, cocktail and beverage list. Asana serves coffee by Sensory Lab.
A couple of people popped in for takeaway coffee while we were there. We ordered mineral water and a Martini.
Asana’s Paleo High Tea
One of the must-do experiences at Asana is the delicious and decadent high tea. The menu is designed by Pete Evans and head chef Josh Harris which includes a selection of sweet and savoury canapes. You can then enjoy a Sensory lab coffee or tea by T2. Alternatively, for a little extra you can indulge with a glass of French bubbles.
The decor is modern with a living green wall and origami sculptures. Ask for a bench seat and book ahead.
The restaurant is open all day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The bar area is open from 3 pm.
Asana by Capri is located at 80 Albert Street, Brisbane City, Queensland, 4000, Australia.
