The Anime Festival was a fun way to celebrate anime and Japanese culture. The event was packed with international guests and exhibitors, live stage performances, pop-up shops and exclusive screenings. There were many people dressed up in cosplay outfits.
There were plenty of opportunities to buy hard-to-find food, books, artwork and fan memorabilia. I enjoyed the cosplay photo zone, where you could get your photo professionally taken in front of several different anime scenes. You then received a hard copy of your photo and an electronic version by email.
The Anime Festival was organised by Australia’s biggest name in anime, Madman Entertainment and Australia’s number 1 anime streaming service AnimeLab. The event is held annually in Brisbane and Melbourne. Don’t miss it.
If you are an anime fan, don’t miss it.
