If you’re heading to the Gold Coast soon, take some time out between the beach and bars to relax and we mean properly wind down… and what better way to absolutely pamper yourself than with some luxe spa treatments at The Star. We’ve rounded up the top five must-try treatments to leave you feeling refreshed for your week ahead!

Azure Spa and Fitness at The Star Gold Coast is host to some of the most mind and body renewing treatments out there. Lauren Boyd, Spa Manager at Azure believes in being kind to your skin with winter being the season to nourish and nurture!

Nourish and nurture we shall..

1.) SKINOVAGE – 60 minutes $180

If you don’t usually get facials, a great first step is to get to know your own skin with an in-depth analysis of the skin resulting in a tailored facial experience, focusing on your skin type and condition. Perfect for winter, your skin will be rehydrated and rejuvenated so your dehydrated, dry skin feels re-energised. For tired or mature skin, the facial provides balance and deep cleanse oily skin, or for sensitive skin it’ll soothe and strengthen! This treatment is taking personalisation seriously being completely customised for every guest and delivers targeted results.

2.) LI’TYA KODO ROCKS – 60 minutes for $170 / 90 minutes for $230

Who hasn’t wanted to try a rock massage – well here is the place to do it! Beautiful ancient stones are heated and integrated with the rhythmic Kodo body massage that is inspired by traditional Aboriginal techniques. The team skilfully coordinates the rocks with pressure points and spiralling movements that aim to ground and uplift, working to relieve muscular aches and pains while leaving the body renewed and refreshed. A choice of native aromatic oils is prescribed to address individual needs. Perfect if you sit at your desk all day!

3.) OCEAN RENEWAL – 60 minutes $180

This anti-ageing facial draws on powerful nutrient-rich marine elements to heal and strengthen the skin. Marine Collagen, Kelp, Marine Algae and Mother of Pearl extract work to deeply cleanse and exfoliate, leaving the skin refined, toned and luminous. Lauren says Azure clients are loving their resurfacing and collagen boosting facial treatments. These are designed to detoxify pollution from deep within the skin and stimulate new cell turnover, in turn improving overall skin health – which is what they are all about! An instant pick-me-up with all-natural ingredients.

4.) LI’TYA MIJI JINA – 30 minutes $95

On your feet all day? Soak away tension and treat your feet to this wonderfully relaxing and grounding treatment. Begin with a skin-softening foot soak followed by an invigorating exfoliation to remove rough skin. A native pepperberry foot mask is then applied to increase circulation. This treatment ends with a decadent foot massage to rejuvenate the entire body while melting away tension stored in your legs and feet – we all need this in our lives (weekly!!!)

5.) DEEP SEA BODY INDULGENCE – 2 hours $330

If you really wanted to indulge Lauren says her top pick for winter is the Deep Sea Body Indulgence – 2 hours of absolute bliss! We all tend to forget about our skin during winter as we are always covered up, so this specially designed treatment will help to firm, detox and repair by stimulating the skin’s metabolism and delivering much-needed moisture. The salt exfoliation peel prepares the skin before the body is cocooned in a unique blend of warm algae, followed by our signature energising body massage.

Lauren gave us the inside scoop letting us know at Azure Spa you can also make the most of our exclusive Poolside Cabana Retreat pre or post-treatment – it’s the perfect way to grab that dose of much-needed Vitamin D!

I don’t know about you but I feel relaxed just reading these treatments and a visit to the Spa is the ideal way to break up the routine and take some me-time to help ward off those winter blues!
