Australian Virtual Reality Film Festival

21 August - 26 August

virtual reality film festival

Returning to the Brisbane Powerhouse after a sell-out first year in 2017, the Australian Virtual Reality Film Festival (AVRFF) will showcase virtual reality (VR) films that are guaranteed to whisk audiences away with immersive storytelling and abstract worlds during the only Australian event focusing on VR storytelling.

AVRFF allows artists to present their work in a space that promotes creative development and industry discussion, as well as the capabilities that currently reside around innovative forward thinking and the continuous advancement in Virtual Reality technology.

The 2018 Festival’s opening night will showcase keynote speaker Stuart Campbell a.k.a Sutu – illustrator, interactive designer and writer, best known for Nawlz, a 24 episode interactive cyberpunk comic book series – who will share his knowledge and approach to the art of VR storytelling.

When: Tuesday 21 – Sunday 26 August 2018
Where: Turbine Studio, Brisbane Powerhouse
